Casago
We rented 3 homes in Rio Verde AZ for the holidays. Two were lovely and priced fairly through VRBO. The 3rd home, "hosted" by Casago Co. (and VRBO) rather than a home owner or manager, was merely adequate and, while all VRBO properties have a service fee and cleaning fee, the Casago property had several charges piled on top of those. The 3 homes were very close to each other and all were the same size, but the Casago house charged almost 2X as much for cleaning as the other 2 did. They also added $412 for "host fees"?, a separate Booking Fee, and an Administrative Fee for their Scottsdale office - over $600 more than the homes that were direct through VRBO. The fee for the Scottsdale office was definitely earned since Casago had given us the incorrect information for accessing the house (after we had to call 3 times for them to send us anything). They sent us information for a "keyless entry" with code. There was no keyless entry and, only after calling the Scottsdale office which was extremely helpful, were we told that there was a lockbox with key hanging from the "hose bib" in the back yard! Who would've known!
I have left messages twice in the past week and been told that someone would call me back re cleaning fee, but have heard nothing. Homes in Rio are wonderful, and VRBO is very good, but I would not rent using Casago again.
