We stayed at Devossion from January 7–10, 2026, to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. Overall, the resort exceeded our expectations. Service across the front desk, butler service, room service, spa, gym, and restaurants was excellent, and the staff were consistently kind and professional. The spa and cenote were highlights, and the resort offered enjoyable daily and nightly events. While the food was good, additional dining options would be a welcome addition as the resort continues to expand.
The only issue involved a cabana reservation. We reserved a cabana through our butler the night before, checked in by 9:00 a.m., and left personal belongings as instructed. After leaving briefly around lunchtime, we returned to find our cabana had been given to another group despite our name being on the reservation list. Management declined to intervene to avoid a poolside confrontation and offered a 50% spa discount instead. While appreciated, the situation could have been avoided had the reservation been honored. This was disappointing, as we followed every instruction provided to us. We had spoken to America and Brenda. To be honest, America was barely any help at all. She lacked competency in handling the situation. This situation reflected a lack of accountability, and it raises concern about how similar issues may be handled for other guests. I truly hope this is addressed moving forward. Would I come back? If they added more restaurant choices and fixed their honorability. Yes
