2 week stay in August 2019
Lovely spacious apartment in an ideal location. We had several complaints with the property; One of the mattresses had to be replaced due to it being saturated in urine from the previous guests, which meant we couldn’t sleep in the bed on our first night. YupiHome didn’t answer the phone or reply to my email the following morning which was very frustrating. The shower flooded the bathroom due to the drain being blocked which leaked into a downstairs apartment. The owner of the apartment came to see what the problem was and managed to speak to YupiHome and explaining bed the situation. A cleaner eventually came and unblocked the drain in the shower which rectified the flooding and she brought clean bedding to change the bed which I explained was not good enough and she checked the mattress and agreed it needed changing. After a long conversation with YupiHome they agreed to change it. The old mattress and dirty bedding remained on the balcony for the duration of our stay which made us feel very angry and upset. The kitchen wasn’t very well stocked and we had to buy wine glasses and tea towels. Also the toaster didn’t work. We couldn’t get the tv to work. We had to leave the key to the building in the plant pot outside at various times which wasn’t ideal but we had no choice with there being so many of us coming and going st different times. The key was taken from the plant pot which left us unable to access the building so we had to contact YupiHome, they arranged for the daughter of the owner to give us another key. She was very unfriendly and unhelpful. We found out on our last day that the owner of apartment 2a had taken the key. The lack of information in the apartment and unhelpful ness of the owners family made us feel very disappointed. In summary it is a lovely apartment but not very well managed. There was a real lack of communication, no instructions or information to assist us during our stay.
