“We had a great time in Kinvarra! Proximity to the Aran Islands, Cliffs of Mohr, etc. was great and we enjoyed the local pubs and music. The accommodations were great, clean and well stocked. We were a little put off by the amount of traffic and related noise, at times it was hard to even cross the street and the bedrooms that faced the road were noisy. Toni was very responsive and gave us lots of information on things to do and see. Overall we enjoyed the town and had a great time.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Ballyvaughn. Ray is a great host--check in was a breeze and the location of the house is terrific-- close to town, but quiet--with great access to Bishop's Quarter--a lovely strand for walking- The view from the house couldn't be prettier. This would be a great spot for a family, as there is plenty of room. We will be back for sure.”

“The room was adequate and nothing special. The hot water at the sink was very difficult to turn on and off. The hot tub is an inflatable pool that was not working and had not been cleaned. A golf course is near but there is nowhere to walk. You need a car to go anywhere.”

The views of the water, back garden, and lounging on the couch just looking at the walls around us were priceless. “Kinvara is a good location for exploring Galway and County Clare. The property is fine with plenty of space and well equipped. We even managed to use the Hot Tub which was very rewarding as the weather forecast for the week was not very very good.”

“Cottage is lovely and easy to find the local village is walkable and has everything you would want with shops and great restaurants (reasonable prices too) the only small thing we would suggest they improve is the lighting in the kitchen which is really insufficient if you want to cook in the evening.”

“We loved our stay. Frank and Geraldine Molloy were very lovely hosts. The cottage had all the amenities we needed for our stay. The only thing that was missing was the dryer. There was a washing machine, but not a dryer as listed. The location was perfect. We could visit Galway as well as Connemara Visitor center, and the Kylemore Abby. The cottage was right on the lake, so the morning views were breathtaking. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone who likes a peaceful retreat.”

“Spiddal Cottage was delightful! Both rooms were spacious, the living room was lovely, the kitchen small but with all the necessary appliances. We didn't ever cook there, so I can't say anything about the pots, pans, spices, etc. The mattresses were quite firm. Bring your own entertainment if you want to watch something. The wifi worked great and we had access to the washing machine, which was very nice. Patsy was accommodating and super nice! The area was stunning, and a great place for a ferry...

“The house was very clean except for the carpets. There was a lot of room for our group. The rooms were large and adequately furnished. The kitchen utensils and cookware was a bit sparse. The rent was very reasonable, but I would rather pay a bit more and not have to “rent” towels or supply additional toilet paper or buy dish soap. ”

“The kitchen was ill-equipped- no cheese grater- and the furniture had strips of veneer hanging off which needed to be glued back on. The beds were hard, and none of the strip lights above the basins worked, making shaving difficult. The quality of the fixtures and fittings was poor. However it was a pleasant enough cottage apart from the niggles.”

Great location, not very soundproof rooms
"We had a decent stay at Galmont. This review is based on a deluxe room with sea view. Good: - Close to train station and main streets. - Very friendly staff. - Spacious room with nice view. Could be better: - Soundproofing in rooms. We heard both TV noise and people talking from adjacent rooms. Noise from the road outside was also fairly audiable. Earplugs are highly recommended. - Draft from window, not very well sealed. - Quite slow and not very attentive service in the Coopers restaurant when we visited. Food was good though."
