The Cottage
"Lily Cottage" is a charming two-bedroom single storey Norfolk cottage located in the exclusive redevelopment of the Old Vicarage in Walsingham. One of a handful of beautifully redeveloped buildings at The Old Vicarage, Lily Cottage is immaculately presented and is the perfect choice for couples, small groups or a family looking for a traditional cottage with an abundance of period features, wooden flooring, and a wood-burning stove. The cottage also benefits from a pretty, fully enclosed, garden laid to lawn with shrubs and plants and benefits from the shared woodland and grounds. Lily has two allocated parking spaces.
The cottage is approached via a gravel pathway, through a private door and a hallway, shared with up to two cottages to the rear of the walled garden, which leads to the side of the cottage and out to the gardens.
On entering the cottage you are welcomed into a cosy open plan kitchen / sitting room. The kitchen has a range of wall and base units and wood worktops, a freestanding fan assisted cooker with induction hob and extractor over, integrated dishwasher, integrated washer dryer, microwave and SMEG fridge freezer.
The sitting room area is very pretty and cosy, with wooden floors and furnished very stylishly. This room is perfect for curling up in front of the wood burning stove in the winter months, or escaping the sunshine during the summer with the French doors open to the patio and garden beyond.
The two both bedrooms and family bathroom are arranged off the hall.
The principal bedroom has a king size bed with two small chests of drawers as bedside tables, a large comfy armchair and free-standing wardrobe. There is a glazed door leading out to a small patio area and the garden beyond. There is a lovely en suite shower room with large walk-in shower enclosure, with mains pressure shower, WC, wash hand basin, heated towel rail and underfloor heating. There is a further single trundle bed with a proper mattress under the bed, which could accommodate a small child or provide the option of a separate bed if required. The second bedroom has two 3ft single beds with bedside table and a freestanding wardrobe. There is a window looking out to the garden to the rear.
*It is worth noting that the two single beds are a 'zip and link' and convert to a Super King if you prefer.*
The family bathroom features a bath with hand held shower over, WC, wash hand basin, heated towel rail and underfloor heating.
Outside
You can enter "Lily Cottage" either from the hallway or through the gate into the garden and through the French doors which lead directly into the open plan living space.
The private garden is fully enclosed, with two patio areas, so perfect for being able to relax whilst the four legged or smaller two legged members of the family can roam safely. Please note that a BBQ will not be provided at Lily Cottage.
There are two allocated parking spaces for Lily Cottage, found at the entrance of the development, with a very short walk to the entrance of the cottage.
One four-legged friend is welcome, but there is a small charge of £20. Please let us know if you wish to bring a pet.
