Yamparika Haven - Country Atmosphere near Shepard AFB and Wichita Falls

Enjoy unobstructed views of sunsets, pastures with cattle, and the perpetual see forever landscapes of Northwest Texas.

This 1200 sq. ft. is a spacious 1 bedroom with king bed, dual sink bathroom, large walk-in closet, washer, dryer, and dishwasher. It is attached to the main house, but has a separate/private entrance and patio separated by a 3 car garage.

Big screen TV's with satellite in living room and bedroom. Plenty of DVD's to choose from. Wi-fi and books.

Kitchen is supplied with dishes, flatware, pots and pans, wine and champaign glasses. There is a Keurig Coffee maker with coffee and hot chocolate pods. There are a few basic spices and condiments.

Small pets are accepted under 25 lbs. There is a private lighted patio just for you, so you can enjoy the sunsets, equipped with outdoor furniture and propane grill to enjoy your evenings.

Located just 4 miles north of Shepard Air Force Base Main gate on Highway 240. 10 miles from the center of downtown Wichita Falls. 10 miles from the Casinos in Oklahoma.

The perfect place!
I highly recommend this rental. It was extremely clean, very comfortable, with all the accommodations one would need to have a relaxing weekend. We were visiting our son at Sheppard, Air Force Base, and it was the perfect location for him to come and go. Jay, the host, was exceptional and made sure we had everything that we needed. Beautiful home!

Quiet and relaxing
We had a wonderful stay at Yamparika Haven. Our host, Jay, went the second mile with personal touches, candies, sodas, and little extras that made us feel welcome. The king size bed was very comfortable and the entire unit was immaculate. This was our 2nd time to stay at the Haven while visiting our military family in Texas. It is convenient to Sheppard AFB and perfect for us. We will definitely be back for our next visit!

Home away from home
I am a frequent user of VRBO. This property falls in my top 2. It was clean, comfortable, and had so many extras that most do not. I felt like it was set up for family, and by extension, I was part of that family. Even though it is attached to the family home, we felt free to come and go without being a bother. The following is not intended to be criticism but information for others. We are old people, and the lovely concrete floors were hard on our bodies, but we adjusted after a couple of days. Mattress comfort is highly subjective, and this one was not the best for us. Haha, if you go out to the covered porch, check your pants for grass burrs! They are definitely not a nice surprise. Our only regret was that we had to leave before the eclipse.

Cozy and comfortable getaway
We met with the owner during our stay and during our conversation found out how small the world really is….he owned a restaurant years ago in the small town my father grew up in. That opened up to a few very interesting and happy conversations about the past. We love the country and if your looking for a quiet getaway in Gods Country you should visit the Yamprika!

We loved our stay. Jay has been nothing but outstanding with every part of the stay. Every essential needed and more was provided. Jay even had tons of accommodations for our fur babies. We will definitely stay again and recommend to our friends and family :)

Great access to Wichita Falls
This was our second stay at Yamparika Haven and this place is just the best. Jay, the host, is a great guy and both times had made sure that our stay was comfortable and convenient. From booking, communication, accommodations and checkout, everything was easy and seamless. We will definitely be back again!

Perfect!
I can't say enough positive things about Jay and his place! First, it's just enough out of the way to not feel like you're in the middle of town, but close enough to get to anything you need easily. I've stayed there twice now and it's been perfectly clean both times. His place is well-appointed with thoughtful amenities and a great setup for cooking. The fridge even has drinks, condiments and snacks! The bed and linens are very comfortable. The patio is my favorite, as a place to enjoy a morning coffee or you can watch beautiful sunsets in the evening. Jay is very communicative, reachable and happy to help if you need anything at all. You likely won't though...it's all already set up and there for you!

Top Notch Rental - 5 Star
One of the cleanest, quietest and well supplied VRBO’s that we’ve ever stayed in. Definitely will be our choice when visiting this area again. Jay is a great host.
