Nestled under a gorgeous grove of Live Oak Trees just west of Austin, Julie’s Cabins is a luxurious retreat for those desiring an “out in the country” setting while still being close to the amazing Austin night life. The retreat is centrally located in the serene Texas Hill Country close to many rivers and lakes and only 45 minutes from the Fredericksburg Wine Trail. We’ve worked hard to ensure a world class stay for all. A beautifully manicured landscape with an abundance of wildlife provides a tranquil setting for those looking to unwind with a nice cocktail in the evening or wake up to the birds and deer in the morning while enjoying a fresh cup of coffee. For those wanting to get a little work out, there’s a state of the art Jacuzzi swim spa to swim laps in, or if desired, heat it up in the evening and relax and let the world go by. For those “glampers”, we provide a full outdoor kitchen to cook that perfect steak. And for those who love old school grilling, we have a fire pit that after you enjoy your campfire you simply swing the grate around and cook old world style. If desired, there are several local breweries and restaurants within a ten minute Uber drive that are really lively. Once you’ve visited all the area sights, and there’s plenty, you’ll really enjoy the country charm of the cabins themselves. Julie’s Cabins are fully functional tiny homes with all the amenities for your stay, including a strong WIFI signal. Perfect for sleeping in late or just unwinding from a busy life. We’ve double insulated them so you can really unplug and bask in pure quietness. All cabins come with everything you need for your stay, including a smart TV, which takes all the stress away of planning for your trip. Our goal is very simple. When you stay at Julie’s Cabins, you’ll have a very relaxing and stress-free vacation that will leave you energized and ready to take on the world again.

Great property we had a fabulous stay and I will come again. Only issue is the bathtub was full of hair but other than that everything was super clean. I did not really like the fact that there are zero outdoor lights around the property and no big flash lights or lanters were found in my cabin. But I will bring my own next time. Would definitely be great for a romantic getaway, but that was not the type of party I was having, unfortunately. Outdoor Lights would have been awesome, but I understand why you don't have them. Please make it clear in the initial property description. And also no food could be grilled easily after dark without lights.

Quiet and Cozy Cabin Outside Austin

We stayed 4 nights for Formula 1 weekend, and it was a fantastic, relaxing option. Quite far out of downtown Austin, it is quiet and secluded (in the best way), with a decent drive into the city or to the COTA track. Despite that, HEB was still only a 5 minute drive. There is currently construction on the highway between the cabin and everything else which was a bit unfortunate, but wasn’t too much trouble to navigate. Virgil was always very kind and quick to respond. The cabin grounds are gorgeous- shade, pathways, and amenities aplenty. There is easy parking separated from the main household by a short path. The common area (fire pit, hot tub, pool, laundry) are shared between 4 cabins, but 3 were occupied at one point and you could hardly tell. Laundry was easily accessible, and the best part was the hot tub. Great spot to relax after a long day and look at the stars. Truly felt like a vacation! The cabin is adorable and a great size for 2-3 - 2 in the bedroom and one on a couch bed. It has everything you’d expect from a full-size home. The filtered tap water wasn’t the best , but we made do. If you don’t mind a drive into the city, this is the perfect getaway option!

Incredible rental

This is by far the best rental we have had. It was beautiful and exactly as stated in the VRBO ad. Virgil, the owner, was amazing and provided great and fast assistance when we asked for it. We will definitely be taking some quick weekend trips here again

Loved Julie’s Cabins

Stayed here for a quiet retreat during our daughter’s rehearsal dinner and wedding wkend. The perfect size, location and style for just the two of us! Hot tub was a plus!!!

Short Getaway

My son booked us this stay for my husband and I; we enjoyed our stay but wish it was farther away from the road. We got a lot of noise from the traffic and all the construction from the freeway so that was a bit disappointing. However, the cabin has everything you can possibly need and we so appreciated that!!! Especially having the coffee pods available to enjoy and outdoor games to play. We enjoyed the swim spa and pool, which were very clean as well as the nice shower pressure in the cabin. The cabins are fairly close together but we enjoyed the space alone for most of 1 day. The cabin was very clean but I would invest in new linens and towels as well as new rugs inside the cabin. The bed was very comfortable but what we enjoyed the most were the sounds of birds early in the morning and some clear views of the night stars. We appreciated the s’mores kit provided and thank you so much for allowing us to stay!

Relaxed and Rustic

Everything about this VRBO was perfect. Easy to book, check in and stay. It was just as advertised and everything you needed (including Coffee pods) was included. Wish we had more time to take advantage of the amenities (fire pit, oversized hot tub/spa, pool and yard games. Thanks for a truly enjoyable stay, Virgil!

Romantic get away

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend for our 2 years and loved it so much! The cabin is so cute and cozy. And the hot tub is amazing!!! We went to the zoo which was only 10 minutes away and had a blast. Definitely recommend coming to stay in these cute lil cabins w your partner or family!!

Wonderful stay!

Our stay was amazing and we had so much fun. Virgil also messaged me to make sure everything was going great. They provided us with marshmallows and graham crackers so that we could make s’mores. The cabin was so nice and the hot tub was a huge plus. They also had several games we could play.

Wonderful cabin

Went for a wedding over the weekend and this cabin was perfect. Close to all the distilleries and the city. The cabin itself was clean and cozy and perfect for our needs. Virgil was very attentive and responded quickly to all our questions and was a pleasure to work with. The community of cabins around each would be a perfect spot for a group of family/friends that wanted to get together but still have their own space. We will definitely return!

Secluded but convenient to Austin and Dripping Springs

My partner and I stayed a few nights while competing in the Dripping Springs Founders Days BBQ cookoff. The location was just far enough into the country to be quiet and restful, but still a short drive to town. We were “working” too long each day to take full advantage of the amenities, but liked this spot so much we’re already talking about coming again. The cabin itself had everything you need for a comfortable stay; very comfortable bed, luxurious shower, full size fridge. A definite find!

Better than the photos!

My husband and I were thrilled upon arriving for our stay to see that Julie's Cabins are even better than the photos! Everything about the grounds and inside of the cabin went above our expectations. The cabins have everything you need and were exceptionally clean. The location is superb for accessing Hwy 290. Any store/restaurant you'd need is on Hwy 290, so you don't need to head into Austin (and it's traffic) at all. We talked about how great the 4 cabins could be for a family or friend reunion. The night sky designation was a big plus for us--the clear night sky full of stars was awesome. I highly recommend Julie's Cabins!

Exceptional Cabins

Can’t say enough positive things about Julie’s Cabins. The accommodations were immaculate with all of the comforts of home. Easy contactless checkin. Communication with Virgil was superb. The grounds included a beautiful outdoor kitchen, comfortable furniture (including hammocks), a spa/whirlpool, outdoor games, and a firepit for relaxing nightly bonfires. Virgil thought of everything—even a bottle of wine and ingredients for s’mores. Will definitely be back for our next trip to Austin!!

Perfect!

I needed some time away to just relax and de-stress. I got super lucky being able to book Julie’s Cabins for 7 days, especially with it being so close to the holidays and it was also a bit last minute. Julie’s Cabins were perfect! I enjoyed laying out in the hammock, reading on the porch, and star gazing while in the swim spa. I can’t recommend Julie’s Cabins enough. The cabins are clean and they have all the amenities you need. There’s a fire pit with plenty of fire wood available, and there’s also an outdoor kitchen. With the city about 20 - 30 minutes away, you have everything you need: it’s distant enough from the city for the quiet and isolation, but close enough for some shopping and dinner. Communication from Virgil was amazing. If you ever need anything during your stay Virgil is highly responsive and extremely helpful. I highly recommend Julie's cabins and will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience

My husband and I spent 3 days at Julie's Cabins - we love being outdoors, hiking, eating great food and trying local breweries, wineries and distilleries. We had a fantastic experience in every way as the hill country and the location of the cabin checks all of the boxes. We were between 20-40 minutes of phenomenal hiking including Reimer's Ranch, Pedernales Falls, Hamilton Pool and CanyonLands Trails. We even ventured out to Lake Travis. Virgil was super helpful from the start - check in was a breeze and we were welcomed to the cutest, most functional and well equipped cabin and grounds in every way. We enjoyed many of the local food recommendations as well, and the outdoor pool/spa was a perfect way to end our long days and nights. The hill country is a ton of fun for outdoor adventurists and foodies! Highly recommend Julie's cabins.

Julie's Cabins was wonderful! It was a perfect birthday retreat for my mom and I!! Well kept property and relaxing spot. No kids allowed was an added bonus! We thoroughly enjoyed the HydroPool. The property where the cabins are is just enough outside of town that you really feel like you can disconnect but close enough to drive into town for a nice dinner; we even enjoyed taking early morning walks down the quiet dirt roads.
