Positives:1. Easy to find.2. Convenient to Boulder Jct., and Manitowish Waters.3. Beautiful lake view from most living areas.4. Well appointed large kitchen with modern appliances that functioned well.5. Very lovely cabin ambiance. 6. Vacasa Mgt. very responsive when problems arose or questions needed to be answered day or evening.Suggestions:1. Add an iron and ironing board2. Please list all kitchen amenities, such as a crock pot which wasn’t listed in property amenities.3. Please correct the fireplace as wood burning. In the property listing it says gas fireplace.4. It would be good to know the make and model of the stove so instructions can be found on line. NO WHERE was there a name of the stove on the stove.

A Wonderful Stay

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Artist's Cove. Beautiful view of the lake in a tranquil environment. Used the kayaks and ate breakfast on the deck. The cottage was well appointed with comfortable furniture and—true to its name—abundant aesthetically pleasing artwork. Bathrooms were fine and the bed was so comfortable that we slept in every morning! The kitchen is fully functional and has everything needed for a pleasant stay. Plenty of restaurants, grocery and things to do within a 5-20 minute drive. Especially recommend Dixie’s Coffee, Little Bohemia and the Guide’s Inn.

A quiet home on Wild Rice Lake

We enjoyed a lovely three days at this home overlooking Wild Rice Lake. So fun to hear loons, see a couple eagles, and delight in three river otters that happened past! Easy access to Boulder Junction and Manitowish Waters, and the nearby network of bike trails.

Wonderful weekend

I would definitely recommend this rental! It was so beautiful and the view of the lake was just serene. The cabin was spacious, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed trying out the kayaks and the rowboat, and had a wonderful campfire to roast s'mores.

Great stay

Great house in a great location. The house is clean well kept and the updated kitchen is great. The fireplace is awesome and the internet is strong. It made for a great getaway watching movies in front of the fire.

Delapidated Property

Worst condition I have encountered. Kayaks had no seats. John boat could not be accessed. Clean only in portions. Other areas dirty and unkept. We left after not being able to stay there. Have submitted refund via AMEX. The property management (Vacasa) is not VRBO and was totally unresponsive.

Cozy but lacking

We have done this a lot and all other places we have rented have been well stocked and extremely welcoming. This rental was not. No matches, no dish towel, no salt/pepper, no trash bags etc. Had the listing reflected this, we could have arrived better prepared. We found working with Vacasa to be not helpful and wish we had had a contact who was familiar with the property.

Wonderful summer vacation

The cabin was clean upon arrival and everything was as described. We had a wonderful week! Lake is beautiful! Sandy bottom by the dock was perfect for swimming. We had fun catching pan fish off the dock. We brought our own boat and the dock worked out great. So nice to have the boat landing so close too. Grill was nice and we used it a few times - could have used some grilling utensils. Fire pit was also very nice. One suggestion - clean the main windows for a clear view of the lake as it’s such a nice view.

Wonderful stay

We loved this property and will definitely be back! Very clean and updates that still kept it feeling like a cabin. Loved all the windows...great views! Only thing that would have really made it perfection would have been if they supplied firewood. We drove through some rough weather and decided to not go back out into the snow for firewood but it was tough seeing stacks of firewood at both neighbors next door. We will remember to bring it with us next time but it would have been a nice touch.

Great stay!

This house was perfect for a weekend get away! It was clean and comfortable and well equipped! We enjoyed the dock and kayaks, and we were very pleased with the house. We would definitely return for another stay.

Great ski weekend

Perfect house on the lake for our family of four. Close to multiple cross country ski trails. No traffic or snowmobile noise. Very clean. Natural soaps. Heated porch very nice for morning coffee. Manager quick to respond to questions. Only criticism is no wood for the indoor fireplace or instructions (we called manager and got info).

Great Winter Get Away

The property is nice and 20 minutes from many recreational trails. We skied Winman and snowshoed at Northland. The only problem we had was the shower was cold to lukewarm. We were also charged two booking fees one for Vacasa (in advertised price) and one for VRBO (not in advertised price). The total of the fees was higher than the two night rental. Great size for two couples

Such a peaceful lake view

The property is clean overall and the view couldn't be more beautiful. The other side of the lake isn't developed, which makes the view even more peaceful. We had a great experience and were thankful we chose this property. We appreciated the hospitality. Our feedback is limited--we wish that we were provided with more cleaning supplies. Also, the floors were not very clean. I stepped onto my yoga mat after walking around in my bare feet, and instantly left dirty feet marks all over my yoga mat. My guess is that the house is being vacuumed but not mopped--I would recommend mopping before every guest. Also, we felt rushed in our checkout process. To have checkout at 10am is already early, and an employee knocked on the door at 9am asking if we were checking out that day. We weren't dressed and ready to be answering the door, especially when it is supposed to be self-checkout by leaving the keys in the drop box. We think that the chimney needs a really good cleaning, so we were reluctant to use the fireplace after the first try. We are definitely planning to book this property again. The lake view is perfect, and it is nice to actually have a private sandy beach area.

Artist's Cove

We enjoyed our 5 days at Artist's Cover, starting on Sept. 5. The cottage is clean and cozy with beautiful views of the lake. However, we were extremely disappointed that the pier was taken down and the rowboat was locked in the boathouse. I talked to the manager twice, but she was unable to help. The 2 kayaks were useless unless you don't mind sitting in cold water. They were the kind with holes in the bottom. We came all the way up here to do some fishing from the boat. If we had known they take the pier down and put the boat away that early, we would have rented a different lake house. All the neighbors' piers and boats were out and it was tough to watch them out on the peaceful glassy lake fishing. We would like to return to this property, but only knowing we would have access to the rowboat. In spite of this, it gets 4 stars because we enjoyed the house and area.
