“Loved the view and place but too new and they are building so we should have been told there would be that ..lots of other issues as no water etc yes they did thier best to fix but we kept having to ask ..beds weee great and was with family so we made best of it but for what inpaid should hve been a 4-5 star cus its a gem of a place and more places they are making !! In the right spot too!! So make the details count!!!!!! And will be epic!!”

“Everything you need is nearby. Most pristine beach, a little grocery store with so much to offer, we cooked most of our meals there and the kitchen had enough supplies to make our food. Gorgeous villa, we felt very spoiled! The gentleman/security guard was very nice. Staff answered all our questions, I had many lol! Will definitely return!”

“We had a great spring break at Havana Lodge in Malpaís. The lodge was beautiful, the pool was amazing, and the location was perfect. When we had questions, they were answered within minutes. We couldn’t light the grill, and someone was over within 5 minutes to assist. I’d love to go back. So relaxing.”

“Our family of 4 (kids 9 & 11) found ourselves privileged to be the first to stay here. The large dome was clean & well-appointed. It provides a peaceful & cozy vibe. The large shower was perfect for a luxurious rinse off after the beach, the lounger sofas were cozy for curling up with a book or listening to tunes using the Bluetooth built-in speaker, & the bed was comfortable too. “This home was very pretty. The property is lovely and the management was wonderful. The house was very clean and the beach access is great. Unfortunately the listing doesn’t let you know that it is directly next to Banana Beach (it shares a wall with the bar) so it is very loud with music/a dj on in the day and night. Aside from the noise it was a great house though”

“Skip. The host listed the property as a 2 minute walk to the beach and it was a 10-12 min 4x4 drive challenge. Since we planned to be able to walk we checked out and asked for a refund. He has not done so to make the situation right. Santa Teresa has been taken over by tourists and developers and not your typical Costa Rica pura vida experience. “Pros: We loved the area. It was a couple min. from the beach & the beach is perfect for kids. The waves are great for boogie boarding. We enjoyed playing in the pool. Cons: The host responded to emails quickly, but the management company that oversaw the home weren't great. I was told to message the management company to set up a time for check in, but she never responded. After messaging the host, he was able to give me the info for check in.
