“When we arrived we saw immediately that the sofabed in the lounge was broken and could not be used to sit or sleep on, this was disappointing as it meant there were not enough beds for us all. “Lovely property but needs a little TLC. For instance curtain in lounge half hanging off, no lock for front bathroom door, loads of lightbulbs not working, video game not working holes in wall in bathroom and one of the bedrooms. Having said this the beds were comfortable, lots of space for 10 people and hot tub a great bonus. Nothing to spoil the holiday but just a few niggles.”

“The location is first-class, apparently in the 'middle of nowhere', yet within a short journey of all the usual facilities. It's great for Beamish and the Tanfield Railway, which are very close by and not too far from Locomotion at Shildon. I ventured as far as the South Tynedale Railway, and enjoyable drive over the moors. The accommodation is to a very high standard and unlike B&B has the advantage of coming and going as you please. "På grund av en akut kallelse till hjärtoperation blev det en lång och emotionell dag som tog väldigt mycket energi. Utan att ha något bestämt boende löste vi det och är så otroligt tacksamma för bemötandet vi fick här av Kristina och hennes kollegor i receptionen. De märkte snabbt att vi var i behov av att bara få andas och hämta igen oss och gav verkligen allt och lite till för att visa vilka förstående och empatiska människor de var. Dagen efter fick den opererade vila ut på rummet extra länge medans barnen fick vara och leka i poolen. Välbehövligt och tacksamt för alla inblandade! Tack!"
