Our weekend

Robert was a great host, only negative is that the cabin is not overlooking the river as depicted but the back of the river cabin instead. Otherwise very comfortable and clean, extremely quiet in the evening. It was an amazing weekend and we would definitely come back again, probably rent the River House next time!

A few days in paradise

The lakeside cabin is a dream! Its clean, comfy and cosy. It was wonderful to be able to sit out on the porch listening to the babbling river and the wildlife. The location is great, easy access to Wells Gray park and lots of river/lake swimming on your doorstep. Robert and Liana are lovely friendly and responsive hosts. My partner was unfortunately really poorly whilst we were there and they were very helpful and supportive. We will be recommending the cabin to friends/family and hope to come back ourseleves in the future!

Incredible vacation spot

The place is very lovely and the location is amazing. Lots of stuff to see and do in the nearby area. The owners are friendly and informative. Would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back someday.

This cabin is located in a very quiet location, very easy to find. Small but nice and clean and has everything you need, shower, toilet, cooking amenities, etc, It has lots of openable windows in four sides of the cabin, so the cabin is filled with fresh and clean air from the mountains! The owners are helpful. They may not see you at check in check out, but reachable by phone. The river behind is accessible from the cabin, beautiful river bank, tranquil and safe. Bring sandals for easy walk out to the deck area.We had a great 2 night stay. Attraction nearby is Wells Gray provincial Park which is very very large, famous for its amazing water falls. There are so many falls in the park, many are not quite accessible. In my opinion, if you don't have a lot of time, it is enough to view these three: Dawson Falls, Spahats, Helmcken, which are unique and spectacular!

Fantastic stay in Clearwater

The Riverside Cabana was a perfect spot to stay in a comfortable little carriage house which was right on the river. We even caught a fish just outside the cabin during our stay. A great place to explore Wells grey Park from.

La cabane est vraiment agréable, pzut etre un peu plus petite qu’imaginée mais au final on a bien de la place. Robert est tres sympa et vous avez tout a votre dispo pour organiser quelque chose dans la région de Wells Grey. A recommander.

Great unplug time

We left home with no destination and chose Clearwater as a half-way point to Vancouver Island... and then spent the whole holiday here. Decided the unplug time was what we needed. Me and the wife thoroughly enjoyed the little cabin (cabana) - nice and cute and self-contained with windows on all four sides (there’s curtains for privacy if needed). Everything you need is provided including some nice “just in case” things like bandaids. The bed was oh so comfortable with nice white clean sheets and a comfy topper. Quality and unique items - but simple with rustic charm. Our hosts were friendly but privacy considerate. We might just make it an annual event! After we booked I became concerned about the shower accommodation as I’m a big guy - but no worries at all. BBQ, Pots, pans, cutlery towels etc., are ready for you to make a meal - or enjoy a restaurant or two. Make sure you check out at least some of the world-renowned falls while you’re here. The rest of the world seems to know about this gem of a place, but not Canada! We enjoyed the rural non-commercialized pace, interesting stores and local hand-made art.

Stayed 1 night and everything seemed good, location was beautiful. Adorable cabin on the river. However we came in late the 2nd night to find a few dozen flying ants on the walls and floor. There was sawdust on the pillow and we looked up to see more bugs eating away at the ceiling directly above the bed (have photographic evidence), left and went to hotel and they were in our suitcase and all our stuff. Called the owners the next morning to explain and meet. We met with the lady and she saw and agreed it was bad and that she had never seen that before. She told us to call her husband that afternoon. By the time we called him and he had gone to look already and said it was just a cabin in the spring and there were just a few bugs, offered us a small refund and was rude. We ended up being refunded all but our first night, which was fair. If the bug problem was resolved it would be lovely.
