We really enjoyed the property. It is exactly as the pictures show. Great condo layout.
On the main floor: 1 king bedroom; shower/toilet; washer/dryer; kitchen/living room; pool with toilet(outdoors)
On the 2nd floor: loft area with loveseat couch; 3 bedrooms(king/queen/2 twin beds) and 3 full baths(1 with tub).
As I said, the layout is great and spacious and can sleeps many.
Location: I’m a driver, so maybe this is biased. I loved the area, 18 miles out in Champions Gate from Orlando. Area is nice to me, not a tourist trap like Intl Dr. Publix and other restaurants nearby. Yes, you will need a car. You could walk to some of these places, if you are a ‘true’ walker.
Cleanliness: Property was clean. We arrived just as the cleaning crew was leaving.
Check-in process by VillaDirect(prop mgmt company) was quick and efficient. However it could use a little work. The welcome email was missing some details about WiFi, trash pickup, pool heating options, and any other options or expectations for tenants. Usually, we are expecting to read way more detail.
*Note: There is posted signage in different areas of the home, such as kitchen and thermostat. Note: There is only 1 thermostat for the entire property upstairs.
Kitchen is stocked with sufficient dishes, pots, pans, utensils.
Parking was fine. However, no reserved spaces. Fills up quickly and less options if you arrive home late in evening. This varies by the busy/non-busy tourist season, I’m sure.
Property amenities: Here’s where things get interesting. No bad, just interesting. Long story short, these condos(some owned by residents, others managed by VillaDirect) appear to be the first set of condos in the area. They are not old and dated, don’t get me wrong, but they were ‘first’. First, in the sense of the amenities(pool, ice cream parlor, golf mini put-put, volleyball court, arcade, gym, etc were started by them.
Just recently, within the last 2 years - a new developer ‘Ashton Woods’ has started to build condos around the property surrounding this property.
The result: A joint agreement between properties to share the amenities.
For clarity, there was no cost for the amenities - ice cream parlor was closed, pool and others were open. Ice cream parlor will be replaced by a General Store soon. Ashton Woods appears to now be in full control of the amenities center, their sales office even has a suite within. Better things are coming, this will def be a highly sought-after area.
