Perched on 10 acres of high desert just 15 minutes from the Santa Fe Plaza, Sunset Haven is a spacious 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom retreat that sleeps 10 guests. Located near Old Route 66, this home earns its name with world-class, 360-degree views of the sinking sun and the distant twinkle of Albuquerque lights 65 miles away. Whether you are curling up on the suede sofa by the Piñon wood-burning fireplace or stargazing from the expansive deck, every inch of this property—even the laundry room—is designed for luxe repose.

The open floor plan flows seamlessly from the formal living room, featuring a smartphone-ready soundbar, to a gourmet kitchen equipped with stainless steel appliances, a breakfast bar, and everything needed for a night of creative cooking. For entertainment, the game room offers a regulation shuffleboard table, a leather sectional, and a library of movies and games. Dine together in the sunny dining room or head outside to the wide-open deck for an al fresco meal surrounded by mountain vistas.

The sleeping arrangements provide ample space for everyone. The primary suite offers private deck access and sunset views directly from the king bed, while two guest rooms feature queen beds and storage for ski or hiking gear. The fourth bedroom is a kid-friendly haven with two twin over full bunks, providing plenty of floor space for play. With four full bathrooms featuring both tubs and showers, morning routines are effortless. This was perfect for me and my four sisters and two kids. There's plenty of space for alone time, and sweet gathering places as well. We got good use of the shuffleboard! Nice outdoor spaces in a secluded, quiet area that's still close to everything. Loved it and will recommend it to friends.

Kitchen was well stocked. Poor water pressure in the kitchen. Communication should have been better regarding where to find the lockbox (far from the doors in the carport) and where to find the outdoor trash cans (locked in the shed with keys in the hall drawer) we never did figure out the dish tv.no instructions.Positively, beds were comfortable. Deck was wonderful with a lot of seating. Short drive to santa fe downtown.

Friends get away

We had a wonderful time with our Friends. The house was so nice and very clean! We were all impressed on the cleanliness of the house. So nice and spacious room to spread out. Kitchen was Fabulous! Everything we needed and more! Thank you for sharing your Wonderful Home with us! We will be back!

Beautiful location, amazing outdoor space with gorgeous views! Sunrise and sunset both visible from deck-spectacular! Property was clean and well appointed. We had about everything we needed. The only negative was the climate control. One ac controlled both upstairs and basement and because half the bedrooms are up and half down, no one was comfortable-in order for the upstairs to be comfortable the basement had to be freezing or if the basement was comfortable the upstairs was sweltering. Also there was an amazing family room with a huge couch and giant tv which we were unable to use because it never dipped below 82 degrees. There was a thermostat in the room that didn't do anything and when we reached out to the management we got this response (more than 24 hrs after inquiring) "The family room does not have cooling control even though it says it does."

Fantastic house with an incredible view

We LOVED this house. It’s beautiful, even better than the pictures. One of the better views I’ve ever had from a rental. The house was also bigger than I’d expected. The management company was great. Not too far into town either. Highly recommend!

Our Santa Fe' Experience!

Great location to explore Santa Fe' and the surrounding parks and pueblos. Incredible food in town. A nice home including excellent views plus wildlife encounters (birds, deer, coyote and a bobcat!). The back deck is outstanding. Small issue upon check-in with wifi and coffee maker which the property manager addressed quickly.

Beautiful Home and property.

The location is lovely if you don’t mind a short drive into town, and only a 45 minute drive to S ki Santa Fe. Great trails and gorgeous sunsets. Plenty of room for larger families. I would definitely stay here in late summer/early fall. 3 king size beds would have made this property perfect. The property management company could have been a bit more helpful, but nothing egregious. Just a bit bare bones from an instruction standpoint when dealing with trash, etc. They were responsive when we had a water leak and it was fixed quickly.

Views!

Four of us enjoyed this house. We each had our own room and every bed was comfortable. The weather was cold and rainy when we were in Santa Fe, but we were able to watch the most amazing lightning storm from the deck. Watching the clouds pass from the big windows on the comfy couches in the living room was a treat. The kitchen was big enough and had enough cookware for meals and we enjoyed strolls on the dirt road around the quiet neighborhood. We didn't mind the 15-20 minute drive to Santa Fe and appreciated the grocery store less than 3 miles away. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect Stay - 13th Annual Gathering

We had stayed at the property in 2018, the same four grade school buddies, now in our 60's. It was very nice then. This visit was delightful, a real convenient (but outside the downtown bustle) house with beautiful views of the high desert from the deck, comfort made convenient with plush sofas and chairs inside and out. The kitchen was fully accessorized. We lacked for nothing.

Fantastic Views!

We had a great stay at Sunset Haven. House was exactly as described. Great location...easy drive to the Santa Fe Square. Check in/check out process was a breeze. We actually wanted a place that was away from the hustle and bustle of town. This property was perfect. The inside of the house was lovely, but most of our time was spent on the deck. Unbelievable views with incredible sunsets. Would not hesitate to stay again!

Beautiful Location

We loved the house. We had three different families staying, and it was comfortable. Three of the bedrooms have their own attached bathroom which was nice, and the game room was fun. The bunkroom was great for the kids. We loved sitting out on the deck, the view is great. It is about 15-20 minutes to get to downtown Santa Fe. We stayed in August, and the house does not have AC. That was not clearly listed on vrbo. It is typical of houses in Santa Fe not to have AC, it was only too warm in the middle of the afternoon. But it is something that people should be aware of, if they are sensitive to the heat. I am sure most times of the year it is not a problem. There were many fans to help.

Wonderful Mountain View stay

A spacious property, wonderfully located with mountain views that are best enjoyed from the verandah. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked. There is no air-conditioning in this property, but even with higher summer temperatures this didn't affect us since the house is on an elevation and it cooled down towards the end of the day. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay there and e hope to be back! NB: Do not go for a walk or hike outside of the property boundaries as surrounding area is owned by someone else who made it very clear to us that he did not appreciate trespassing. Instead find yourself the nearest trailhead (there are plenty).

Peaceful Views and Peaceful Dreams

We based our choice of Sunset Haven on the reviews and pictures on VRBO, and we are glad we did. The house was a perfect layout for our two families (four adults and four teens), and the bunk bed bedroom was ideal for the three teen girls. The house had everything we needed for preparing meals, all of the necessary pans and utensils, and even plenty of seasonings. The back deck was so peaceful and relaxing. We wish we were back there right now! We spent our mornings drinking coffee and reading our Bibles, and in the evenings, we would eat our meals and enjoy the cool air and the stars. Being secluded from the bustle of Santa Fe was so lovely because it was so quiet and peaceful. We only wish we had paid attention to the house's lack of AC. They supply plenty of fans to spread throughout the house, and we've been able to keep the temp down with windows open and fans running, but we wish we had noticed that AC was not mentioned on the VRBO listing. But that is the only "complaint" (I wouldn't call it a complaint) about this fantastic property! If we return to the Santa Fe area, we will consider booking this house again! The property management team was very communicative before we arrived and provided all the information we needed for a fantastic stay.

Nice views, cool air

The house is nice, interesting layout. The bunkbed room is a great feature. We played a lot of shuffleboard. There were a few minor maintenance issues, but nothing critical. I was surprised when I found out that the keys needed to be picked up in Santa Fe at the office. Lately I have come to expect electronic push-button door locks in these facilities. Overall, a good experience, peaceful, and reasonably priced.
