Waterfront Haven på Country Lane, nära till Seattle, shopping, restauranger

En dag på Lane: Spendera dina dagar avslappnande i solen, lounging i skuggan, utforska stranden, titta på örnar, fartyg, tågvagnar fortsätt medan du curl upp med en bok, eller ta en promenad på vår landsväg. Mindre än 30 minuter från Seattle eller Bellevue och 10 minuter från Boeing på Paine Field, Everett, är vi halvvägs mellan Edmonds och Mukilteo, vattnet vid Picnic Point. Picnic Point Park med offentlig strand har tidvattenpooler och är 1/2 mil lätt promenad. När tidvattnet är ute sträcker sig den stora stranden framåt där sanden dollarbäddar, krabbor, äggborr och stjärnfisk kan gömma sig i havsgräset. Om du är här i mars och april är det vanligt att se pummelhvalar som går, när de matar, bryter och simar mellan Picnic Point och Whidbey Islands södra spets. Vi är några minuter från Boeing på Paine Field, den största byggnaden i USA. Många museer som relaterar till flyg och historiska flygplan ligger mycket nära.

MYCKET VIKTIGA ANMÄRKNINGAR:
1. Det finns många stavar!
Vårt hem är vattnet och byggdes på en brant parti. Såsom bilderna visar, går du ner ett mycket långt trappsteg för att komma in i hyresgruppen och säkerhetskopiera de stegen när du lämnar. Om trappor inte är ett problem, kommer du att njuta av fri utsikt och en vacker miljö att vila och koppla av.

2. Det finns många tåg, dagliga och någonting mindre på natten
Vattnet i vårt område betyder tåg, och våra gäster hör (och ibland känner) tåg när de går. För vissa är ljudet lugnande och avkopplande. Det är bara en del av den lokala charmen på Lane. Öronproppar används av vissa för sömn, vi ger också en fläkt i rummet och gästerna kan slå på bad och köksavgaser för vitt brus i rummet på natten. Du kan också ladda ner "White Noise" Apps på din Smart Phone, iPad eller annan enhet om du är en lätt sovare.

3. STOR, PRIVAT LANE
Vår lane är en lugn, smal, privat landsväg och många boende har bott här 40 år. Nätterna är extremt tysta, och vi ber våra gäster att hedra "tysta volymer" när som helst efter 21:00 och fram till 07:30.

Perfect start to the new year!

This was a lovely place to bring in the new year. The weather was great for the end of December and there were a couple of great sunsets from the deck. I loved every thing about my stay. The hosts were very gracious! Thank you!

Sara & Don are GREAT hosts. I asked about the heat and next thing I knew I had a heater at my door. The view is amazing. So quiet & peaceful. Loved the trains. All The Haven is missingbis an "E" after the "A" bc its where serenity lives.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If there was a 10 I'd give that as well!!

Good experience

Clean, comfortable, spacious. Stairs down to the bottom, then one level up to the unit was challenging (over age 60), but felt more in shape after the week. For out of town guest and myself it was perfect, between Seattle and San Juan Island. Went to Underground Seattle tour, Chihuly Glass, Pier 57 Wings Over Washington, and the Ballard Locks. Walked on Friday Harbor ferry, rented a Chevy Tracker from Susie's Mopeds and zipped around the island. Tried to see whales, went to Roche Harbor, Amaro Farm, and Krystal Farm. Spent the night at Discovery Inn which has very spacious, lush grounds with seating all over and a hot tub. The owners were easy to communicate with. Thank-you!

Beautiful

Beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Well organized and stocked with everything you would need to cook. The owners are one text message away and responded immediately. I had a little trouble with the code to enter but Sara was quick to remedy it. She is also gracioulsy sending me my wedding rings I left behind. As a solo travelor I felt safe. The property is in a beautiful location with an amazing view of the sound.

Great waterfront property with amazing sunset view's

Very Comfortable and memorable experience. Working in Everett that week, I stayed 4 nights. A lot of steps to get down to the unit but worth every step. The trains going by were fun to watch, I looked forward to the next one coming by. Really enjoyed watching the fishermen and crabbers in their boats from the deck and the view of the sunset is priceless. Overall, a really special place with great hosts! Thank you Don and Sara

Visiting my son.

What a treasure! The photos and description don’t give it justice! I never realized that the location is literally right off the water. The balcony looks over a back yard, train tracks, beach when the tide goes out and the most spectacular views of islands across the Sound. The unit was super roomy and comfy with all the amenities. Easy communication with the owners who were super nice. I will be back and next time with my husband. The stairs were not bad at all, with a nice railing and motion lights at night. The view was worth every step!!! A bald eagle even swooped up right in front of the balcony! Besides the joy of seeing my son that I haven’t seen in so long, what an extra treat to stay in such a nice place.

Relaxing with a view that's never the same!

Our stay at The Haven was relaxing. It is a great place off the beaten path but close enough to go on day adventures. The view is amazing and changes each day. We spent a lot of time on the deck watching the fisherman and one morning, when the water was calm, we saw dolphins and seals. Sunsets were amazing too! When it got too cold in the evening we could still enjoy the view sitting inside. The Haven is a quiet getaway - even with the occassional train that passes by. The hosts of The Haven are great and made sure we had everything we needed. The kitchen was sufficiently stocked - even spices in the cupboard. Thoughtful additions throughout - outdoor blankets, a fan, umbrella, binoculars - to name a few. The descriptions and pictures accurately represent The Haven - no surprises. We would return!

Just what the doctor ordered

5 out of 5! Hosts were great and very responsive. The scenery was incredible. Very simple check-in and check out process. The stairs were not as bad as I anticipated. Property is ducked off out of the way and provides and very calm and serene experience!

We love this property and plan to stay here whenever we visit our Seattle family. The unit is well equipped, in great shape, and in a perfect location. We love sitting on the deck so close to the water, with our morning coffee, and with our evening wine after a day of activities.

The place is beautiful with a view of the Sound that's outstanding. It was very clean when I got there, & the accommodations were quite excellent. The shower was especially good. The stairs are a challenge, especially at the end bringing up the luggage, so you need to be in decent shape if you want to stay here. If you have a coronary deficiency, an aneurysm or any other condition that requires care in exercise, you might want to consider your stay here carefully. The train tracks are very close, & trains go by pretty frequently, but the house is so well constructed the the noise is dampened considerably. As a result there were times when going to sleep was a bit difficult as occasionally 2 or 3 trains went by at 5 minute intervals, but the trains never woke me. Finally I asked to meet the Christensens my 1st day there, but never got response that allowed for that. I met Don twice, but there was no conversation beyond what was necessary for me to get to the right part of the house & to get into the apartment. As a result I actually felt about as welcome as an uninvited relative.

Beautiful Unit & Views

The unit is very nicely decorated and comfortable. I enjoyed having a deck to myself. The stairs are no joke. I was winded everytime I had to ascend them. There are 65 and they are steep and narrow. It's something that you really do need to consider if you're not in shape. I found the trains to be charming and didn't interfere with my stay at all. The views are spectacular!

Unique and wonderful stay

We chose this property because of its proximity to Seattle, waterfront view and high probability of spotting a bald eagle from the balcony. And within an hour of our check in a juvenile bald eagle flew right past us! We also saw two more that would frequent the ship wreck just down the street. We loved the trains passing through and we even saw a whale. The steps are steep and transporting our luggage was a little difficult but it was totally worth it. The owners were very responsive and even let us check in a few hours early. The neighborhood was unique and we just loved everything about this place and would definitely recommend staying again.

Magnificent sunset view you don't want to miss

The sunset view is gorgeous and we were lucky enough to have sunny and clear sky on our first night. Owners are very responsive, place is clean and quiet. There are stairs up/down and trains passed by during night but this didn't bother us at all. We also spent sometimes on tide pool when the tide is low.

Friend Beach Get Away

My friend and I just enjoyed a two night stay at this little beach get away. If you don’t mind trains, like me, this place is great! If you have any concerns with stairs, this is probably not the place for you. The view is incredible! Sara Was quick to respond to my questions. We even saw a rare sighting of an Orca pod! So amazing! We will be back! Thank you for sharing your place and incredible view!

Honeymoon Highlight

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at The Haven! Amazing sunsets over Puget Sound and a wonderful view with the mountains on the horizon. It was so gorgeous we didn’t eat out for these 7 nights on our honeymoon but chose to come home and grill and eat on the deck see the view. The train didn’t bother us, and there are a lot of steps but it makes it that much more private. Very clean and comfortable inside with everything you need. Highly recommended!
