“Exceptional location, close proximity to supermarket, places to eat and the mount! It surprised us how well the house is stocked and everything is in great condition and plenty of life!The house is toasty warm with the fireplace going! There is plenty of space, and upstairs is great fun for the kids! Having a dog friendly accommodation that has been well looked after is absolutely amazing! Firstly, we booked Unit 7b which looked nice, but were given the key box code for 7a. 7a was decidedly a lesser quality property. It was smaller and tired-looking (I understand a new owner is currently upgrading - neighbours told me). The floors coul and should have been cleaner. “We absolutely loved our stay at The Gatehouse in Horseshoe Bay. It’s a charming, peaceful spot just steps from the beach. The house has two bedrooms—a queen and a room with two singles plus a cozy sofa area—air conditioning, a well-equipped kitchen, BBQ, and dining space for four. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and gave us great tips about the island. Restaurants and cafes are nearby, and the bus makes exploring easy without a car. We had a wonderful time and would love to return!”
