“This is a converted bed and breakfast from a 1917 Tudor style large home. Polly, the manager, was most gracious and engaging and oversaw a nightly happy hour. My room was quite spacious and tastefully decorated. I didn’t get a chance to have breakfast due to business commitments but I would definitely stay here again.”

“My daughter and I stayed at Summit Street Inn for a weekend of college touring and getting to know Winston Salem. This inn is beautiful and clean, conveniently located at the “end” of downtown. We felt safe and walked to dinner and other outings. The home is well maintained with a mix of old (original creeky floors) and new (bathrooms) and lovely gardens! We will be back!”

“We had an outstanding stay at a Historic Inn (c. 1744). Inn Keeper Cherie was most helpful and a delightful hostess. Breakfast was outstanding. Located in Historic Old Salem. We will definitely return when we have more time to tour the Old Salem community and to become more schooled in the Moravian culture.”

“The property was very nice, cozy and clean, the location was about 2-3 blocks south of what Vrbo said but it was still in a great location for our trip. breakfast every morning smelled great, unfortunately we were unable to enjoy it due to our schedule. Wine and cheese in the afternoons was a big plus! The only recommendation I might have is to provide a small space heater as our room fluctuated in temperature quite a bit. It only one vent it was not a huge issue at all but a space heater would...

“The hosts were so kind and accommodating when we needed to come to the area to manage my mother's estate. The adorable bungalow was comfortable and well stocked and we were so grateful to them for going the extra mile to get the fold out bed ready for our daughter when they new we were going to have a very late night check in. We extend our thanks for their compassion and flexibility to accommodate us so last minute. We will gladly return to their home when duty calls again.”

Nearby Mt Airy is a great place to spend the day…Andy Griffith Museum, Gertrude Smith House, so many unique shops, great local eating establishments. Make sure to check out Kim’s unique metal art sold at Mayberry Antiques!!!! Go hiking at Hanging Rock State Park and check out the five waterfalls. Can’t wait to return!
