“We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. Very pretty, well maintained cabin with plenty of peace and quiet. The location within a mile of the park entrance made our day trips into the park for hikes a breeze.”

“This is a delightful property. Not only is it very close to Palo Duro Canyon state park, but it is thoughtfully planned with an open air pavillion with great views, engaging metal art, and a nice playground for families. It is very well maintained, and the management is promptly attentive to any needs. It was truly a wonderful place to stay.”

“We had a wonderful time (3 nights) at the Fortress cabin. The view is spectacular and we enjoyed the privacy of the property. The house had most everything we needed (no foil, plastic wrap, etc if you plan on cooking…but no big deal). The bed is very comfortable. They provided coffee pods for the keurig! We had a full day of nonstop rain and high winds so we were at the house all day and still enjoyed the view and the comfort of the house. Sad Monkey Mercantile is just down the road so we popped...

“These cabins were perfect for our two kids and their families. We enjoyed being near Palo Duro Canyon, playing games and snacking at Sad Monkey Mercantile, eating out in Canyon, anf playing in the handicapped accessible park. Everyone loved our stay ”

“Beautiful home. Gorgeous view, which is not fully appreciated by the photos online. It is rather secluded (which we liked.) The ‘White Room’ was very fun. The beds were very comfortable. The only suggestions I would make are to have more dish towels and a few more rugs. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and the soothing showers, but the tile floors were extremely slippery if treading with wet feet. Thank you!”

“We had an amazing time at the Laredo. Pictures don’t do it justice. Amazing view off back porch and you must walk the grounds - beautiful property. Love seeing the Aoudad Sheep - came within 20 feet of us. Kitchen had all of the amenities you could ask for. Hiking PDC was amazing. We will return and will certainly stay again at this property.”

“My daughter, myself and 4 grandchildren came to Amarillo to see the musical Texas in Palo Duro Canyon. There was lots of room for all of us. I loved that the kids were at the opposite end of the house. The grandkids loved the snacks that were laid out on the kitchen table and after a long trip in the car, it was nice that we didn't have to go to the store for snacks. The host even took the time to place small labels on all the cupboards and drawers informing what was in each one. The coffee/tea...

“The Lighthouse and Doves Rest Management and staff were professional, very nice and great to work with. The Lighthouse itself is amazing! The views are incredible! The kitchen/living area is huge for plenty of room for everyone. The top story suite is .... SWEET! Gorgeous Views. We will stay again.”

“I had stayed here before and knew that I wanted to come back. Really nice cabin and GREAT view. We enjoyed the hot tub while watching the sunrise and the provided robes were a nice touch. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.”
