“The bathroom door did not close properly to latch, we called and they immediately sent someone that fixed it in 15 minutes. The room had a fresh smell and was on the lake side with a view of the lake. Very friendly staff, helpful and accommodating, we had an amazing time..”

“Pros: Valerie is a kind host, and the property is in one of the most beautiful areas I have ever stayed. Cons: There is one shared bathroom on the first floor. There is no bathroom in the room, or the one next door which I saw when I found out that the dividing door was not locked. The pillows did not have liners in the pillow cases and were stained so we did not use them. The sheets had other people's hair on them, so we didn't use the cover sheets or blankets. “We came in for the Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Weekend (about 40min away) and stayed at this B&B. The owners are incredibly hospitable, breakfast is great, and the historic home setting is good as well. The drive to Cooperstown is through some gorgeous and serene countryside settings.”

“While the rooms and furnishings are very nice, the bathrooms we not cleanly or updated. The night I stayed there, the power had gone off and there was no air conditioning and the no water. This could be a nice B&B but the outdoors need to be improved. For starters, they could remove the junk water heater from the front porch.”

The address said Fort Plain, however it's in town of Danube, outside of St. Johnsville, not even remotely close to FP. Mind the location, as that wasn't a big deal to travel back and forth.
