“When we came to the 'reception' to gain access to the property, we were advised that the unit was not available because it had already been taken (?!) and we were being given a 'suite' in the same building as the reception. The problem was that this was nowhere near the sea. Rather than 20 steps, it was an hour's walk away on mean suburban roads largely without sidewalks. The switch in location also caused headaches for a taxi pick-up to the airport that had already been arranged for the...

“Beetje tweeledig. Plek aan het meer is uniek met eigen tuin met aanlegsteiger. Dat is heerlijk, ook voor de honden.Het ligt echter aan een weg waar soms erg hard wordt gereden. In de vroege ochtend lijkt het of ze het huisje binnen rijden. Het huisje is klein , donker en wat smoezelig. Het slapen op de slaapbank is ook niet ideaal. De minpuntjes wegen alleen niet op tegen de ligging aan het meer. Wij komen nog erns terug.”

“Vi bodde en vecka i månadsskiftet juni/juli i Casa Metata precis ovanför Castiglione di Garfagnana. Husägaren Gabriele och hans trevliga familj har här skapat ett mycket charmigt, rätt nybyggt och väl fungerande hus med fullt utrustat kök. Jättefin terrass med pool och utedusch med sol hela dagen och utsikt över byarna nere i dalen och baksidan av Cararabergen. Man tar sig snabbt och lätt till de närliggande byarna för att handla eller gå på restaurang. För egen matlagning var det stora uteköket...

“Spacious apartment on a quiet street and close to everything. I was a bit confused when communication came from a different name (Red House) and not through Expedia. I checked that it was legitimate, but there were differences in process, so do confirm. Red House person was great and let us leave our bags early on day of check-in while housekeeping was there. GO TO Vizio Virtù Cioccolateria--the brilliant chocolatier/bakery just up the main road at Sestiere Castello 5988. Amazing.”
