The Papillon was the most beautiful houseboat I saw the whole time I was on the canals, and it was interesting to see the movement of some of the others that are not permanently moored. There were many appealing restaurants in walking distance, bus service very nearby, and it was great fun to sit up on the top deck as I had wonderful...

“We loved our stay on the boat from start to finish. We had great weather so great views from the hot tub out over the water. Comfy beds and the luxury shower block was clean and had nice showers. The boat is a short drive or 30/40 min walk into Poole (40 as we waited to cross the bridge and watch the ships sail by) I hope to have the opportunity to stay there again. ”

“This property was a great location in the city center with good transportation, all around. Enough room for a family of five in great amenities. Only downfall we visited in June when it was very hot and after a very long day of sightseeing, the boat was extremely hot with no air movement. Something to consider if visiting during a hot time I think if we visited during cooler days, it would’ve been perfect.”

“The narrow boat is lovely and very well equipped with a lot of thoughtful touches throughout. The beds were comfortable and the wood burner welcome before bed. Great location! Easy walk to Paddington and the Hop on Hop off bus stop. I would stay here again! ”
