“Very friendly staff. Great location with excellent views over the beach and sea. Good cooked breakfast and free parking in front of the hotel and along the waterfront. Easy walking (2-3 mintes) to shops and restaurants in Criccieth center. The only negative with our stay was that the double bed was quite small, and smaller to what we normally see in hotels.”

“Welcoming host who explained all I needed to know. Room well kitted out with toiletries and drinks. Only scored good in comfort as shower was a bit of a tight squeeze for someone nearly six foot tall...”

“Really enjoyable stay. Hotel and rooms have been modernised and look great, aside from a few creaky floorboards! Very quiet when we stayed (missed the nightclub by one day fortunately). Perfect location for the town, castle, river, etc. Knocked off a mark for service as there's not a lot of staff around, but you can call for help if needed (but we didn't need to as it happened).”

“Stayed in a single budget room which was clean and comfortable. The staff and owner make you feel very welcome. Good breakfast and well stocked bar - nice pint of Guiness. No complaints and great value. Pay and display car park a stones throw at £3 for 24 hours. No food in the evenings but would recommend the Dolphin chippy down the hill. Made a pleasant change from the corporate hotel chains.”

“Super hotel in middle of Dolgellau. Efficiently run by courteous friendly professional staff. We did not eat there but wish we had! Everything as it should be in a good hotel. Plentiful overnight parking in the long stay carpark behind the hotel. Some traffic noise as it is an old building with single glazing but that is to be expected. ”
