Because the drive up Hwy 1 is on windy and steep roads you may not want to go into town much. The bedrooms are down many steps,so you must be able bodied. Numerous hiking opportunities close by.”

“A beautiful house in a good neighbourhood, convenient for sightseeing but away from the hustle and bustle of the city.The only issue we had was parking one evening when we came home after 9pm, there were no parking spaces available on the estate, There was some building work going on in the area and at least 8 spaces were taken up by industrial vehicles, We eventually had to park off the estate near to a Starbucks and collect the car early next morning, as we are quite able it wasnt a problem.I...

“The little RV was perfect for our getaway. Close to stores, restaurants, and hikes. It’s nestled in a hillside behind owners property, which made it very private. The garden added to its coziness. A great time and hope to come back soon. Oh….. and the fresh eggs☺️☺️”

“We met here with our son (active duty military) and his daughter, almost 8 and son, 5. We had a very nice time exploring the vicinity. Our grandson loved finding all the paths around the house and all the doors. Happily they were all locked!”

“Overall, this was a lovely property. Plenty of space for our group of eight. Kitchen was reasonably well-stocked although it didn’t seem to include a wine opener. The dishwasher door is dented, so the lower rack constantly falls off the track when you pull it out to load dishes, and we tried to just load without pulling the rack out. There are signs all over the house warning that gatherings of any kind are prohibited and there are security cameras on the back patio. Violation of that rule is...

“This place was perfect for our mother/daughter 8th grade girls retreat. Super clean and super pretty. The views are spectacular, the neighborhood is quiet, and there is so much natural beauty around to explore. Morning coffee on the upstairs deck was my favorite part of my stay. Will be bringing my own family back here soon!”

“The instructions were to park in a special place designed for guests. A cart port. However as we pulled into the property, a lady had already parked there and plugged her car in and quickly ran into the house. The email told us to park in that place. We knocked in the door where the lady went but no response at all. Calling or contacting the host was a failure on multiple attempts. The sign on the door said to take our shoes off, but if you do, you will end up with pet hair on your socks or bare...

“Our stay at the Mushroom House was a highlight of our trip. The house is beautiful and unique. We discovered new facets throughout our time there, including the one-of-a-kind kitchen drawers and the bookcase door. David was friendly and responsive. We loved the view from the deck and the easy walk into town. We hope to return to Bolinas soon!”
