“Supermysigt, väldigt japanskt, (men man slipper pappersväggar!) Ungdomarna i check-in pratar bra engelska, duscharna fräscha, fanns svart och grönt te, Nescafé socker och ”gröddpulver” att ta fritt. Tvättmaskiner, tofflor, micro. Allt rent och fräscht. Även reseadapter att låna för glömska resenärer!”

“Really great hostel! The common areas and bathrooms were very clean, the room was really spacious and the mattresses were comfortable. We got a great view of mt fuji as well. Only complaint would be the heavy smell of cigarette smoke, likely from the previous occupants”

“Had an amazing stay here, the hosts are very accommodating and kind, making us feel right at home. The home is cozy and has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. A very peaceful area yet a bit remote as it requires a bit of a walk to reach the nearest bus stop which are a little confusing to navigate. However this is to be expected for a small town like this. It did not take away from the experience at all and actually helped us to see more of the town. If walking is an issue I...

“Perfect location. Just a 2 minutes walk from Kawaguchiko station and a Hoto noodles restaurant. We stayed a night in a private room with shared bathroom and toilet. The whole premise is very clean. They offer bike rental and free luggage storage. Highly recommended!”

“Property was good, but i found grtting around the area inconvinient as everything was far away from each other. However there is a extensive tourist bus system so you could get to everywhere you wanted to go, it would just tske time ”

“Overall the place was quite clean but could do with a good dusting and robot vacuum on the tatami. Very quiet. Bathrooms and showers clean. Rooms cozy.”

“We had a great stay at this property. The hostess was kind and helpful. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The bath was clean and relaxing. The rooms were a bit cold this time of year, so I suggest starting the heater during the day while you are out to come back to a nice toasty room. The property is conveniently located with a beautiful vue on the lake from the front and Fuji-san from the back. I would definitely stay here again!”

“Jag har rest runt i Japan i en månad och detta var det trevligaste hotellet jag bodde på. Väldigt fint hus och japanskt inrett rum. Gratis bra frukost och trevlig personal. Hotellet är beläget precis brevid buss och bra restauranger samt en stor sjö, men det är en bit in till Fuji station.”

“När vi bokade trodde jag vi skulle hamna närmre Fuji, men inte, detta ligger i ett eget område (Hakone) vilket inte alls var helt tokigt tågresan dit var en upplevelse i sig. Områdets pass för 2 eller 3 dagar är en god investering. Nu hade vi lite otur att det var mulet men man skulle ha kunnat se Fuji från sjön när man tog en båttur och från Linbanan. Alla färdsätt ingår i områdets pass (Tåg, Buss, Bergbana, Båt och Linbana). Båtturen tog vi ändå men linbanan var tyvärr avstängd pga aktivitet...

“No information on website that all rooms are not wheelchair accessible and have STAIRS! We have big luggages so need to solve problems of getting on stairs. No staff at the place and no CCTV in risk zones, that i wonder it is quite dangerous in case other guests does not lock the house, or have intention to do crime to other guests who share the same house. Good points are free self-service laundry and dryer, the classic ancient style of Japanese house sharing 4-5 rooms of stay. ”

“男女別のトイレだと尚有り難いですが、お風呂は貸し切りで広々と入れ、駐車場も広くて停めやすい、お部屋も広々としていて、雄大な富士山が眺められ最高です。宿の前に、ローソンが24時間であるので、朝食を買って後は、宿から一歩も出ずにのんびりしました。お世話になり、ありがとうございました。 ”

“施設は古いので部屋は寒かったです。でも、お風呂は温泉で時間で貸切りにして頂けて小さい子供がいる私たちにはかなり助かりました。”

“What a wonderful place! It had everything we needed and more. It was so cool to have a telescope on the balcony! The hosts really thought of everything: a starlight lamp in the bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, an electric barbecue, and an onsen with a view of Mt. Fuji – we could just sit there and stare. The hotel is about 200 meters from the bus stop for Odawara, and there’s a Seven‑Eleven right across the street. I would definitely return without hesitation.”

“Amazing accommodation!! This place exceeded our expectations!! It was very spacious and had so many amenities. The foot bath and onsen style bath were fantastic especially with the cold weather we experienced. They had a tv and projector too. The location was super close to the train station too- bit difficult to walk along the busy windy main road but all in all great place. We definitely plan on returning”

“The hotel was a bit of a trek with luggage, my advice is to download the GO TaXi app which we used several times in the evening when the steep climb was too much. The morning of check out there was obviously too many people using the app so we had to walk to the ropeway which was around 10 mins downhill. The onsen was lovely and we all really enjoyed it. The room/ apartment was massive and although a bit dated had plenty of room. ”

Pleasant stay

"Great stay for us, a couple with 7m old. Convenient with the shuttle bus. We used the onsen daily and the breakfast was great. Also our first time sleeping on tatami mats. Thanks!"

Amazing ryokan

"Went here 2017 and fell in love. This time it seems like this hidden gem is no longer hidden, since there were a lot of foreign tourists. But that seems to have given an extra boost! It seems like many aspects has improved, like another outdoor onsen on floor 5 that is fantastic, a small souvenir shop as well as swapping to a buffet style breakfast. Ten-Yu is amazing, as well as the service. The staff were very kind and accommodating, and since I was a returning guest, me and my company also got some extra benefits. Rooms: The rooms are very spacious, and just like last time we enjoyed our stay. The balcony features an outdoor bathtub were you can fill it with onsen water. In the room you will also find clothing like yukata and bath house/pyjama set in different sizes, that you can wear during your stay. Outdoor: The garden and surroundings are beautiful, and on clear days you have a great view over the mountains. Food: Dinner was good, but note that it is a lot of fish and seafood. Breakfast buffet was a mix between Japanese and Western cuisine, and everyone could find something they would like. Extra: There were a few bonuses, like the ice cream vending machines, with unlimited ice cream, and the drink bar with lots of different teas, coffee as well as sparkling wine. On early evenings you can enjoy some live jazz music! Lastly, a big thank you Ten-Yu with staff for another great stay!"

Obstructed Mountain View

"Beställde med mountain view över Mt Fuji. Sätter klockan tidigt för att vakna upp och fotografera för att upptäcka el-ledningar rakt utanför fönster, så ingen ”Mountain view” där direkt. Annars helt ok rum att sova i, men tyvärr en besvikelse för det jag trodde jag skulle få. "
