“The hotel itself is excellent! We loved our stay. It’s perfect if you’re looking for a relaxing stay surrounded by natural beauty. Only downside is there aren’t many amenities within walking distance besides a little tourist area. There is easy access to the local bus if you don’t mind spending 30 minutes going into town. ”

“We drove to Hoshinoya Fuji, as it was dark, the entry towards the check-in area is very easy to missed, suggest to have more road sign leading towards the resort.
Once we checked in, there is a car to pick us up to our room up the mountain. The view of Fuji is stunning, if you are lucky enough to see it. Room and breakfast service are great, and so are the amenities in the resort.
Booking for activities got to be done by 6pm the day before (no exception can be made). Was really interested in...

“The staff was excellent and very friendly. The hotel was very nice and near the river and a farm. The room wss excellent.
There was noise from a property down the road in the evenings till about 11pm. Also some noise from rain on the bathroom roof. The breakfast was excellent.”

“The log cabin lodge is run by Sasaki San and his mum. Lovely people.
The place was clean and very quiet. All we heard were the birds and great view of the lake. Sunset made the island shine and a rainbow to appear.
Since the cabin is surrounded by nature, just keep the insect screens in place when the verandah doors are open and all is good.
We took the meal package as it was well rated. It was more than we expected. The steak was surely the highlight - juicy and tender. Best I’ve had so...

“Stayed at the retreat for our first night in Sabah. A little off the beaten track but offers free shuttlebus to Sepilok (orangutan center). Staff unfortunately not so welcoming, but comfy bed and cool outdoor bathroom :)”
