It’s a 35 minute walk to the bus station and we took an Uber for 10 euros because it was raining. Then bus to Hoofddorp to catch a train to Schiphol airport then on to Amsterdam Centraal station. “We had a wonderful time on the houseboat over the Easter holidays and the following week. This is idyllically situated in the marina. The area is perfect for cycling. The proximity to Amsterdam and Den Haag make it a perfect starting point for city tours. And of course, what could not be missed was a visit to Keukenhof. Everything necessary was available on the boat. And what didn't exist was communicated beforehand. We can only recommend the stay.”

“I stayed with 2 of my friends in this cute little boat. We had an amazing time where it was walking distance from the centre. Although there is no running water the host was very friendly and accomodate for us and always made sure we had what we needed. Definitely recommend if you want to stay on an affordable boat in the canals of Amsterdam!!”

On the other hand, it is very tattered, dated, rickety and an electrical nightmare. Extension cords and hidden switches everywhere and very dimly lit. “Wir hatten zwei tolle Tage auf dem schönen Hausboot! Es ist wirklich der reine Luxus dort. Wenn man reinkommt, ist es zwar sehr heiß, aber da man alles aufmachen kann, kühlt es auch schnell ab. “Such a great location. Close to everything and quiet which was exactly what we were looking for! Host was wonderfully accommodating which we really appreciated! Only very very minor complaints were the water didn’t get hot enough to utilize the bath, (I like scalding hot baths!) and the internet was in and out a bit. Everything else was amazing! “Ein schönes und gepflegtes Hausboot mit schöner Lage. Alles im allen war es ein schöne Erfahrung auf dem Hausboot, leider muss ich eine negative Sache anmerken. Leider hat bei uns der Mülleimer sehr starke nach Aschenbecher gestunken, dieser Geruch hat sich leider Tage gehalten. Zumindest immer dann wenn man die Schublade zur Mülltonne öffnete.
